Best for
- Starting wood heaters and open fires
- Firepits and outdoor fires
- Holiday homes and cabins
How much do I need?
A 5 kg bag starts plenty of fires. Most people add a bag or two to their firewood order so it arrives together.
Kindling is dropped with your firewood but isn't stacked.
Burning tips
- Lay a few pieces of kindling in a criss-cross over a firelighter or scrunched paper, then light it.
- Once the kindling is burning well, add small pieces of hardwood, then larger pieces.
- Keep the air control fully open while the fire gets going.
- Store kindling somewhere completely dry. It's the easiest thing to let get damp.
